Two pairs of caryatids, lovers, connecting - one silver, one gold - support each other’s burden “kissing” on the tips of their union, a kiss and fusion sealed by the weight they bear together. Bronze/aluminium, glass top coffee table. One of very few examples of functional sculptures Peter Jecza ever made - inspired by Brancusi’s Cariatide.

About the artist: A Romanian postwar & contemporary sculptor - 1939 - 2009. Peter Jecza was fascinated by the beauty of bronze, he always invited collectors to caress his sculptures to feel the beauty of his forms which have mostly taken inspiration from the human body. - - Studies at the Ion Andreescu Fine Arts Institute in Cluj-Napoca (1957-1963)
