Rare and beautiful bronze of the 'Amore con Delfino', after the antique. Good large size version in 'archaeological verdigris Pompean patination' after the original fountain excavated at the Thermae (baths) in Pompeii, now onview in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. Cupid, the god of love, is often associated with dolphins as an allegory for how swiftly love moves on.
