A wonderfully fluid Art Deco earthenware figurative sculpture of a reclining woman. Of good proportion with exceptional form and beautiful bronzed verdigris patina. Probably made at the Saint-Clément factory near Lunéville.

About: Born in 1905 in Paris. Grand Prix de la Ville de Paris after school. Laureate of Ecole Estienne, Ecole Boulle and Ecole des Arts appliques. Lemanceeau is regarded as one of the most important sculptors in the French Art Deco period.
